HEAL: Help find the best rehab and support for those seeking to escape ADDICTION.
Basically, our Mission is to REDUCE the DEMAND for Drugs.
Project: SHINING THE LIGHT ON DRUGS
Drug Rescue partnered with the MRT program at the Bedford County Jail. MRT is a 12-step program of rehabilitation for the incarcerated. We plan: to provide community drug awareness throughout Bedford County by printing and distributing educational and informative brochures; to educate and support the custodial guardians and the custodial kids of the incarcerated parents; to organize and support a twelve-month MRT-TG (transitional -guardians) initiative by partnering with other organizations like the Other Door to provide essential assistance with living expenses; to graduate and support 80 inmates using the MTR & PACE curriculums; Drug Rescue will continue to collaborate with individuals by helping them find the best rehab for their situation; A MRT-TG Picnic in the park sponsored by the Community Clinic of Shelbyville will kick off the project with food, fun and festivities also resource distribution and backpacks and school physicals for the kids.; other partners or collaborators include Drug Rescue Volunteers, Bedford County Jail &Sherriff, Bird Street Church of Christ, Relative Caregiver program. Feminine Care, Inc, Shelbyville Pentecostal Church, LifeSource Christian Family Solutions.

Women's Graduation May, 2024
1. Speak at as many gatherings like churches and schools as possible and give out accurate information on drugs and addiction.
2. Set up a Scholarship Fund to help pay for rehab for people who can’t afford it and don’t have insurance.
3. Establish fun and drug-free activities for teens and young adults that keep them from looking for something else to do.
4. Have T-shirts with Drug Rescue logo available for purchase.
5. Work with the school system to instigate a drug use preventative program. (HIGH PRIORITY)
6. Continue to participate in the Bedford County Health Council- Mental Health & Substance section and the Shelbyville Coalition of Non-profits.
7. Continue helping find the right rehab for those seeking to escape addiction.
